Project Based Learning (PBL)
What Is It?
PBL is a teaching method in which students gain knowlege and skills by working for an extended period of time to investigate and respond to a complete question, problem, or challenge. PBL can be used for any subject! Students, any age, can benefit from PBL, but it is most effective for older students (Middle-High School).
What Are Some Components of PBL?

Longer period of time (unit, standard, month, quarter, or semester)

Addresses concepts across the curriculum

Increases rigor and relevance of the instruction
